Welcome to Christmas and New Year at the Crown Inn, Helmsley. Guests are welcome to join us for the Christmas Menu only, stay for Bed and Breakfast, or pick and choose from the Menu options.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Arrive at the Crown Inn where the warmest welcome awaits you, and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a warm mince pie in front of a log fire. Settle in and enjoy the relaxing surroundings of the picturesque market town of Helmsley .For those of you joining us for dinner a specially prepared four course menu, with a festive twist is served from 7.15pm in the dining room (£35 per person). Carol singers will arrive during the evening to bring that extra festive spirit to a relaxing night.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Enjoy a lavish Yorkshire breakfast before unwrapping your presents. Make the most of your morning by taking a gentle stroll down to the church for the Christmas day service and then around the town before arriving back to a four course Christmas lunch served between 12pm and 3pm (£60 per person). Then relax and enjoy a calm and casual afternoon and watch the queen’s speech with a glass of wine by your side. A light buffet will be available in the evening (£20).

BOXING DAY

Start the morning with a wonderful Yorkshire breakfast and take a few moments to reflect on the past few days and on what a calm and relaxing time you have had. You can also plan what you are going to do, whether to visit Whitby for the Boxing Day dip, Scarborough for the Raft Race or to go further afield to York for the sales. As you drive home you could think about what a stress free Christmas you have had and look forward to the New Year.

NEW YEARS EVE

When you arrive, and have been checked in, let us treat you to a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie or two in front of the open log fire. For those of you joining us for dinner, Champagne will be served in the lounge at 6.45pm. A specially prepared menu will await you in the dining room at 7.15pm where you will be waited on hand and foot like you are the one wearing the crown (£60 per person). Around 11.55pm everyone will gather in the Market Square to bring in the New Year and sing Auld Lang Syne.

NEW YEARS DAY

Help yourself to the luxurious spread of breads, seeds and fruits on the breakfast table and/or a cooked Yorkshire breakfast, after bringing the New Year in. Take the time to recharge your batteries with a gentle stroll around Helmsley and the surrounding area. Our Traditional Bar meals will be available from 12 noon until 6pm.
